A NATURAL CHOICE
FOR BODY,
AND PLANET
OUR DIFFERENCE
FOR BODY
Your vagina and the skin around it are very sensitive and absorbent, and more likely to get irritated or inflamed. Our organic cotton is grown without toxic sprays or pesticides. No Chlorine is used to bleach the cotton.
Plastic and toxic chemicals can really do a number on your body. Give your body the natural, plastic-free periods it deserves.
FOR PLANET
The vast majority of pads, liners and tampons are made of or contain non-biodegradable single-use plastic. Yes, even those ones that say ‘organic cotton’ or ‘cotton’ still have components of plastic in them which prevents them from fully decomposing, leaving a legacy of plastic in our environment.

NO NASTIES
NO NASTIES
Oi’s certified organic period products contain no toxic chemicals, harmful preservatives, synthetic additives, or GMO. Because they’re made from plant-based, biodegradable materials, they help you reduce waste and environmental impact.
Great for the planet. Oh and yeah because who wants plastics and toxins inside of them?
ETHICALLY SOURCED
ETHICALLY SOURCED
Oi products are made in Europe, China, Israel and New Zealand with stringent safety regulations and fair labour laws and working conditions to meet International Labour Organization standards.
Certification to the GOTS requires a direct measure against 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, covering environmental, technical quality, human toxicity and social standards.
ORGANIC COTTON
ORGANIC COTTON
Organic cotton uses up to 90% less water than non-organic cotton to grow. (Non-organic cotton is thirsty!)
Organically grown cotton also doesn’t use any pesticides – so there is no leaching of chemicals into the waterways which can have harmful impacts on the ecosystem around cotton fields.
MINIMAL PACKAGING
We spend a considerable effort to minimise the packaging of our products. It’s always a balance to ensure the product is protected through the supply chain so it reaches you, the consumer, in good condition. A great example is our menstrual cups: the carton is as small as we can make it, minimising the packaging. Plus, we use vegetable inks and recyclable cardboard throughout our packaging, and all is biodegradable!
SUSTAINABLE
Oi is always striving to make our products sustainable, the wrappers for our period pads and liners are made of cornstarch based biopolymer certified by the Australasian Bioplastics Association to conform to the Australia Standard 5810, for home composting. Our Bladder Care wrappers are transitioning to the same biopolymer in 2024. Our cardboard applicator tampons are wrapped in paper tissue, and our non-applicator tampons wrappers (in NZ & AU) are transitioning to a compostable cellulose film meeting ASTM D6400 and ISO 17088 industrial compost standards, look out for the ones with a gold tear tab.
Oi’s Bladder care range is not available in the USA market currently*
CHLORINE FREE
You avoid toxins in your toiletries… why not your tampons? Oi products are free from Chlorine bleaching. This is an important difference, as the use of Chlorine in bleaching produces dioxins which are classed as endocrine disruptors that are really not good for our bodies.
IRRITATION FREE
Oi’s disposable period products use organic cotton for its top sheet and core and Oi’s adult (bladder) care products have an organic cotton top sheet to ensure that the parts that go in and next to your body are non-irritant, breathable, comfortable and biodegradable.
ZERO WASTE ALTERNATIVES
Our menstrual cup and reusable underwear are zero-waste alternative to tampons and pads. With the cup lasting three to five years and the underwear lasting over 50 washes both are great options to prevent monthly waste from tampons and pads.
